It began with a question whispered in boardrooms and behind closed doors:How do you turn a handshake into a lasting alliance? At YaYa International, we answer that question by transforming strategy into action. We analyze data, anticipate client priorities, and design engagements that move business forward—accelerating deals, deepening trust, and delivering measurable outcomes. AXIS MARFA

October 10-12, 2025
Where minimal forms meet infinite horizons.
-Chinati Foundation Weekend-

Set in the high desert of Far West Texas, Marfa began as a ranch-hand outpost before Fort D.A. Russell left its imprint on the landscape. Those same barracks later became the foundation for a new cultural era, transformed through the vision of the Dia Art Foundation and Donald Judd’s Chinati Foundation. Today, Marfa stands as a global art capital, where Judd’s concrete forms, Dan Flavin’s radiant light, and new creative voices converge against the vast desert horizon. This autumn, Marfa again opens its landscape to collectors and cultural tastemakers for Chinati Weekend. Imagine traversing Judd’s monumental installations, bathing in Flavin’s radiant light, then entering Robert Irwin’s Dawn to Dusk—a living interplay of light, time, and architecture that feels immersive in the desert air. Amid these modal experiences, Richard Arthur’s striking graphite drawings—rendering Marfa’s rugged terrain and linear structures—anchor the weekend in contemporary relevance.Marfa's cultural ascent parallels waves of art-driven value. As the arts industry in Texas has surged 63% in the last decade—now contributing over $7.3 billion to the state economy, with nearly $459 million in tax revenue—the investment potential of art tied to Marfa’s narrative is richer than ever. Here, each acquisition is both a lasting cultural mark and a strategic asset.Culinary excellence deepens the experience. At James Beard award–winning restaurant Cochineal, chef Alexandra Gates, curates culinary moments, blending local ingredients with fine dining elegance. Nearby, Bordo Deli elevates culinary simplicity into high art, using an organic artisanal approach to create layered flavors that complement the visual feast of the local galleries. These encounters transcend hospitality.Join YAYA International this October for a weekend that goes beyond spectacle. Under our curation, Marfa becomes your strategic field—a place to meet luminaries, acquire significant works, and build alliances in an environment where art, architecture, and culinary craft converge. Let us guide you to Marfa’s horizon under the desert sky.

After the Horizon

During Chinati Weekend, our group moved deliberately through Marfa’s institutions and studios, beginning with a private tour of the Chinati Foundation and Robert Irwin’s Dawn to Dusk, followed by time at Ballroom Marfa. These spaces continue to anchor Marfa’s reputation as a site where art is inseparable from place. For collectors and curators, the value lies not only in the works themselves but in the context. Marfa remains one of the few environments where acquisition, discourse, and landscape operate as a single system.Evenings shifted the focus from viewing to dialogue. At Cochineal, chef Alexandra Gates hosted an intimate artist dinner curated by YAYA International, bringing together collectors and creatives around a shared table. Richard Arthur presented his Marfa works in graphite, tracing the desert’s structural geometry with precision and restraint. His Marcel Duchamp head-shaped panel with neon emerged as a focal point of the weekend, offering a moment of conceptual clarity. Alongside artist Salvador Luna, who crafts his own artisanal paper from Sotol pulp, layering acrylic paint and ink in response to the paper’s topography to form infinite universes within each work. The conversation moved fluidly between medium, form, and long-term value.A highlight of the weekend was a studio visit with Julie Speed, a Texas-based artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and installation. Speed’s practice explores the tension between architecture, landscape, and the human figure, often using fragmented forms and layered materials to challenge traditional narrative space. Our discussion centered on medium and form—how structure can hold emotion without illustrating it, and how Marfa’s physical environment continues to influence her evolving work. For collectors, her studio represents both artistic depth and growing institutional relevance. From an investment perspective, Marfa’s trajectory remains compelling. While still intimate in scale, the town has experienced consistent real estate appreciation tied to cultural infrastructure, and increasing interest from foundations, galleries, and private patrons seeking long-term alignment rather than speculative turnover. Art collaborations, site-responsive commissions, and collector-led programming continue to emerge organically here. YAYA International’s role is to navigate this terrain—connecting discerning participants to the art, the conversations, and the relationships that define Marfa’s next chapter.
